First pass: identity
Name the cards without proposing a move. Confirm the chosen trump and use the diagram to check effective suits. If the group disagrees about a card’s identity in this hand, resolve that before discussing a result.
Second pass: legal options
In an open-hand practice, ask which choices are legal under the selected reference. State the reason before moving a card. Mark any uncertainty as a question instead of filling the gap with a guess.
Third pass: explanation
Describe one possible choice using only what is currently known. After the hand, compare that explanation with what you observed, without importing later information into the original reasoning.
Keep it short
Rotate the explaining role and stop while everyone can concentrate. This is an original exercise for a teaching session, not permission to discuss hidden cards during competitive play.
